Bullet Belts and Blue Socks

An awe-inspiring picture sleeve of Hanny en de Rekels' Mario, which hit #4 on the Dutch pop charts back in '72. Love how the Rekels are arranged by facial hair, and that their uniforms allowed for beltware creativity.

Note also that a previous owner penned "A" and "B" on each (identical) side of the sleeve, so they'd get the record back in there properly every time.

If you think the getups here are over the top or goofy in any way, check out this and this.

Thanks

Here's a puzzling thrift shop find. Although it was piled in with the old 45s, this congratulatory record is a grooveless blank. That's right, no annoyingly out-of-date corporate pep jingle, no stultifyingly dull valediction from the CEO (or even the regional sales manager), nor even tips on how to effectively host a Tupperware party. Just a lame joke, in both official languages.
